SMS Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 4, 2026

These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern the text-message program operated by Occidental Right to Work Education Fund ("we," "us," or "our"). By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box on our sign-up form, you agree to these SMS Terms.

Program summary: Occidental Right to Work Education Fund sends account verification codes (2FA / one-time passcodes) and updates about educational programs, publications, and events you request to users who opt in. This is a consent-based program. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel.

1Program Description

When you opt in, you may receive text messages from Occidental Right to Work Education Fund that include account verification codes (2FA / one-time passcodes) and updates about educational programs, publications, and events you request.

Sample messages:

"Occidental Right to Work Education Fund: Your ORTW login verification code is 481920. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply."

"Occidental Right to Work Education Fund: Reminder — the ORTW legal education webinar you registered for starts tomorrow at 2:00 PM. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

2How to Opt In

You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on our sign-up form. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of using our services. You may also be sent a one-time passcode when you enable two-factor authentication on your account.

3Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your account activity — for example, how often you log in (2FA codes) and how many educational programs or events you register for. You will only receive messages related to the categories described above.

4Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Messages are sent through your wireless carrier and are subject to the terms of your mobile plan. Occidental Right to Work Education Fund does not charge for the messages themselves. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.

5How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP to the number from which you received messages. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message that identifies Occidental Right to Work Education Fund and confirms that you have been unsubscribed and will receive no further text messages, unless you opt in again. Sample opt-out confirmation: "Occidental Right to Work Education Fund: You have been unsubscribed and will receive no more messages. Reply HELP for help." Note that opting out of texts may disable text-based two-factor codes; you can still use alternative login/verification methods.

6Help (HELP)

If you need help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at support@occidentalrighttowork.org. HELP replies will include our name and support contact information.

7Supported Carriers

Message delivery is supported on major U.S. carriers, subject to carrier availability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

9Changes

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
